The Women’s Design + Research Unit was founded in 1994 to raise awareness about women working in visual communication and design education. Over the years, WD+RU’s focus has shifted toward general social responsibility rather than just women’s issues. Yet, all projects are underpinned by a core feminist philosophy and approach.
